” As the Director, Executive Communications, reporting to the Global Head, Communications, you’ll define and lead a communications program for the Capital Group Management Committee and the Capital Operating Group.
You’ll amplify the individual and collective voices of our senior leadership team, helping them connect stakeholders to our long-term strategy and near-term priorities, and shape the culture of our organization.
Your expertise will shine as you provide research-based advice and coaching to our senior-most leaders (CEO/President, Vice Chair and Chief Investment Officer).
You’ll lead a small, talented team and regularly partner with the heads of our External Communications and Communications Services, as well as the Executive Office teams to create consistent narratives and cultural threads that begin with the senior leadership team and pervade all our internal and external communications.
Core Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive executive communication strategy aligned with Capital Group’s long-term strategic plan Craft messages conveying senior leaders’ vision, values, and key messages to internal and external audiences.
Collaborate closely with the broader Global Communications team to ensure alignment of messaging across all audiences.
Collaborate with senior leaders and Global Communications peers to craft impactful and authentic messages, presentations, and speeches for both internal and external audiences.
In partnership with the heads of the Executive Office, External Communications and Communications Services, ensure consistency of messaging across all audiences.
Act as brand strategist and trusted advisor, managing senior leaders’ image, reputation, and voice across all channels.
With the Head of External Communications, help to identify and position opportunities for senior leaders to participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
Plan and execute cyclical communications directed to the shareholders of Capital Group.
Manage and mentor the Executive Communications team, ensuring professional development while setting objectives and managing toward goals.
Stay current on trends, social issues, and industry news that may influence senior leaders’ messaging and approach.

” You have extensive experience leading C-Level communications within a high-achieving and fast-paced organization.
Financial services industry experience is a plus, but your talents have been forged in large, complex, global firms.
You have a proven track record of developing and executing communications plans in support of business strategies, cultural alignment, crisis management and social issues commentary.
You are a creative storyteller and an accomplished writer.
Your ghostwriting samples demonstrate how you’ve artfully captured the authentic voices of others.
You are calm under pressure and able to move quickly, often spontaneously, into new topics or situations that may require attention during off-hours.
Your listening and observation skills are exceptional.
You pair these abilities with deep research into the issues and your audiences, asking informed questions and seeking out data.
Combining these attributes allows you to mitigate your personal biases and write outside of your usual voice.
You have a constant pulse on company and industry issues.
You continually track best practices in executive communication to create connection with your audience.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $193,464-$328,889 New York Base Salary Range: $205,099-$348,668 In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
