*Proposal Coordinator*
Cordoba Corporation (Cordoba) is looking for a Proposal Coordinator with proposal coordination experience in the civil engineering/design, construction management, program/project management, and planning industries to support the Cordoba Corporate Services Pursuit Strategy Team and its efforts to provide proposal management and business development (BD) services across all sectors of business at the company – Corporate Services, Energy, Education, and Facilities, Water, and Transportation.
In this position, you will support a variety of BD assignments, ranging from strategy development, proposal management, and coordination; sub-consultant management and coordination; qualifications document creation, including content development for brochures, the corporate website, and other digital media; technical writing and review; and database management for proposals, pursuits, and client management efforts under the direction of the Pursuit Strategy Director.
You will join our Cordoba Pursuit Strategy Team, which works collaboratively with all Cordoba Sectors to make our proposals and marketing collateral professional, technically sound, and of the highest quality.
The Technical/Proposal Writer will bring exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, quickly, and effectively at all levels.
Members of the Pursuit Strategy Team are expected to be self-starters who possess excellent oral and written communication skills, can develop creative solutions for growth challenges, are team players ready to support one another, and have a vested interest in Cordoba’s success.
Responsibilities: Support our sector managers in client account management and prepositioning (if requested), and proposal/SOQ and interview preparations activities.
You must: * Possess a broad understanding of business objectives, priorities, and pursuit strategies for the proposal management process * Provide a detailed review and analysis of RFP/Q documents to develop a detailed proposal directive.
* Utilize knowledge of the industry, firm strengths, and competitors to collaborate with members of the sector proposal team to develop the strategy, value proposition, and recommendations for relevant projects and key personnel to be included in the proposal/SOQ.
* Possess the ability to manage small to large proposal efforts under the guidance of the Director of Pursuit Strategy.
* Have strong written, editorial, and proofreading skills to perform research and writing for non-technical proposal sections and client account management documentation.
* Have strong written, editorial, and proofreading skills to coordinate with our sector proposal teams to assist in the development of technical proposal sections and client account management documentation.
* Collaborate and assist the Cordoba Sector proposal teams/subject matter experts to develop and edit their proposal technical narratives.
* Possess the ability to learn and utilize Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) to work with our graphic artists to create branded and graphically appealing BD projects and proposals Apply proposal management best practices in setting up and supporting proposal teams for success after RFP release.
Duties may include, but will not be limited to: * Creating Proposal Directives, sub-consultant requests for information, gathering resume information for specific criteria, working with Cordoba’s legal team to fill out forms as needed, etc.
* Use of Microsoft Project to initiate, track, monitor, and update proposal schedules with the proposal teams from start to finish.
* Implementing Cordoba branding on all proposal assignments.
* Checking client bid websites for current/updated information and addenda and providing them to the proposal teams throughout the proposal process.
* Organizing and participating in kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings throughout the proposal process, as required.
* Scheduling, initiating, and providing current and accurate documentation during the Pink, Green, Red, and Gold Team reviews during the proposal process.
* Being accountable for quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of your own work and maintaining compliance and high quality for final proposal documents before they are submitted to the clients.
* Managing the interview process by tracking proposals after submittal, scheduling strategy meetings in advance of being shortlisted, and supporting the proposal teams during interview preparations (i.
e.
, coordinating interview preparation meetings once shortlisted; managing our Graphic Designer to develop the presentation materials and working with the sector to develop the content of the technical presentation materials for the interview).
* Supporting content migration during proposal closeout activities, including resume updates, project description updates, boilerplate updates, graphics, and proofs.
Contributing to the development and implementation of internal training programs on proposals and other BD topics related to core processes, tools, and practices.
Qualifications: *Education/Qualifications/Skills:* * BA/BS, preferably in English, Communications, Marketing, or Journalism, or a related field to proposal coordination efforts in the architectural/engineering/ construction (A/E/C) and utility industries, or an AA/two-year degree plus one year of related experience in place of the remaining two years of a four-year degree.
* 2-5 years of related proposal management/coordination and writing experience.
* Excellent verbal communication/presentation and writing skills.
* Ability to work independently on multiple teams and handle several assignments simultaneously.
* Working knowledge of collaborative tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for proposal efforts * Strong focus on details and clear, concise writing.
* Ability to demonstrate proficiency in organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task high priorities.
*Additional Requirements:* * Two to three current (within the last three months) proposal examples will be requested where you managed the proposal process as the Prime coordinator from start to finish.
