Purpose of Job: Czinger Vehicles Inc.
is a subsidiary of Divergent and is based in Los Angeles, California.
Divergent is on a mission to democratize the design and manufacture of vehicles and has invented a manufacturing system that combines software, additive manufacturing, and assembly technologies to radically reduce the material, energy, time and capital required to design and build vehicles.
The Czinger 21C is the first whole vehicle demonstration of that technology; a revolutionary hypercar built for the 21st century.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards: •Responsible for Engineering of processes and technical documents for producing the Czinger 21C Hypercar •Responsible for the Assembly Sequence planning incl Subassemblies •Create process documentation of all new processes and standard procedures •Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical expertise in integrating equipment, systems, materials, facilities, and processes into a cohesive, cost efficient, and productive manufacturing system.
•Create required work instructions and documentation •Support the manufacturing MBOM maintenance •Define Hand tool specifications and maintain tooling lists per station •Support Jig and Fixture development to improve work efficiency, Quality and safety •Support the training of vehicle technicians •Involves in DFM process product design team for new and existing parts •Utilize Poke Yokes to prevent errors & mistakes •Evaluate current manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities.
Recommend process changes and coordinate the implementation of these changes into production.
•Review new or revised product offerings and identify production requirements.
Suggest product design modifications where applicable.
Make new /modification of existing equipment recommendations as part of the review process.
•Perform dimensional analysis; implement corrective actions to improve dimensional capability •Collaborate with Manufacturing team to address all production issues related to tooling •Maintain process documents database with timely updates as needed •Help create control plan working with quality department •Apply practical problem-solving techniques to resolve systemic failures in the process or with equipment.
Assist maintenance in troubleshooting / supporting manufacturing.
•Create and close of issue/nonconformance work tickets as needed •Troubleshoot systematically for downtime and scrap issues using RCA methods •Establish strong and positive working relationship with other departments •Prepare capital project requests and manage their implementation •Create critical spares inventory with min, max and order quantity •Support the Maintenance of the plant layout.
Develop alternative layout solutions to improve process flow, material presentation, material delivery, etc.
•Resolve risk/issues with a sense of urgency.

Position may require standing, bending and working directly with hardware on the floor for extended periods of time Requirements: Education: •Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, automotive, materials or industrial engineering •10+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment from industry, hobby, or through participation in collegiate engineering projects such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, rocket club, CubeSat or Design Build Fly Licenses/Certificates: Experience/Skills: •Bachelor of Science – Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience •10+ years of industry experience (automotive manufacturing) working with composite structures and/or large mechanical assemblies •Proficient in 2D and GD&T •Proficient with CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD or NX and Teamcenter •Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing •Great familiarity with high performance automobiles and EV’s •Familiarity with test procedures and non-destructive evaluation of structures •Project Management skills •Six Sigma or other approaches to problem solving •Proficient with MS Excel •MS Projects •Data Analytics •Outstanding leadership and organizational skills •Excellent communication skills •Excellent problem-solving ability •The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner.
