Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the food and beverage industry.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various equipment used in our production facility.
The position requires expertise in working with fillers, steam generators, pneumatics, 3 phase motors, electrical schematics, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in maintenance within the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment such as fillers, steam generators, pneumatics, and 3 phase motors.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing electrical schematics and other technical documentation.
Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components to ensure equipment functionality and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and address maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and repairs completed.
Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
Provide training and support to junior maintenance staff as needed.
Coordinate with the maintenance manager and plant engineer to optimize maintenance processes and procedures.
Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies, and request necessary replenishments when needed.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order management and documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certifications or relevant trade school education is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in maintenance within the food and beverage industry.
Strong knowledge and experience working with fillers, steam generators, pneumatics, and 3 phase motors.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Flexible availability for the 2nd shift schedule (Monday to Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm) with additional Saturdays as needed.
Willingness to work overtime as required, including the initial 1-2 months on the 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm) from Monday to Friday for training purposes.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is desirable.
