Overview:
TRC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr.
Project Manager with experience in implementing, integrating, and delivering Advanced Metering (AM) solutions throughout North America with an emphasis on the Western region.
Experience in Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) implementations is preferred.
Working closely with the end Customer, vendors and project personnel, the Sr.
Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper implementation and delivery of the solution.
Responsibilities:
Act as a champion to foster a positive project work environment; and successfully lead the team to accomplish all the project objectives on time and on budget
Identify the appropriate resources, assembles the project team by brokering internal and external resources, and assigns and manages the responsibilities to fulfill the project requirements.
Develop the workflow plans to manage the project from request through systems analysis, technical design, implementation, procurement, testing, production cutover and client migration.
Plan, prepare and track project schedules and budgets to assure controlled completion of each project step.
Prepare and maintain a risk assessment and mitigation action plan.
This is both internal and external.
Develop and report project status and analyze progress relative to project milestones.
Maintain forecasts to assure that schedule compliance and desired results are achieved.
Utilize project management methodologies and practices such as task and quality management, project estimation, manpower and budget planning, modeling techniques and attendant tools.
Participate in the business development process including, but not limited to, request for proposals, estimation, statement of work creation and quality assurance reviews)
Manage the project budget (hours and dollars).
Identify and track project scope changes.
Create and process project change requests.
Perform project invoicing
Manage project financials (actual cost and forecasting) using TRC’s internal systems
Assist in developing internal Project Management Office processes and procedures
On-board / off-board client and TRC resources
Manage subcontractors (contracting, purchase orders, performance)
Communicate status to all levels of client and TRC
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience in the utility domain
Previous experience leading and managing large-scale, multifaceted enterprise-wide Operational Technologies Projects in an electric utility environment
The successful candidate will be fully knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of the project management Body of Knowledge
Excellent organizational, decision making and presentation skills
Excellent communication skills ranging from addressing C-Level to multiple technical teams
Ability to self-direct and work independently as well as in a team environment
Excellent team building and motivational skills
Excellent budgeting and financial skills
Proficiency with MS-Project and with MS Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
PMP Certification
Travel & Candidate Location Requirements
Up to 25% travel within North America
Pacific or Mountain Time Zone home location
Compensation:
In accordance with California state law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $133,428.
75 - $183,198.
75.
Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
