About the Role In this role as a Marketing Investment Platform Owner, you will serve as a vital bridge between marketing operations, finance, and supply chain by overseeing our cutting-edge Marketing Financial Management Tool (Uptempo).
Your primary responsibilities will initially focus on completing the build out with support from our external implementation partner, and then transition to day-to-day operation of the system, which encompasses budgeting, purchase order management, and numerous finance and accounting processes for all of AT&T MarCom Spend ($2B+).
Additionally, you will overseeing the provisioning and onboarding new users, ensuring they receive the necessary resources, training, and support for a successful experience with the platform.
As part of your role, you will contribute to the ideation and creation of automated reporting for a diverse team of stakeholders.
Working in close collaboration with accounting and finance, you will evaluate and recommend best practices for expense recognition in accordance with GAAP.
Principal Responsibilities: • Serve as system administrator and platform owner for a SaaS Marketing tool to manage user access/permissions, maintain systems integrations, create reporting, and resolve system defects.
• May be responsible for managing budgets and requests for funding.
• Creates automated complex financial reporting and provides expense disbursement reports to business, accounting, and finance partners to drive business decisions.
• Partner with accounting and finance to evaluate and make recommendations to determine best practices for expense recognition in accordance to GAAP.
• Prepare marketing and advertising expense reports for senior leaders.
• Requires working knowledge of the advertising and marketing processes in order to create and manage a tool to manage expenses.
• Operate marketing technologies, manage data, and ensure marketing solutions produce consistent and accurate data for analysis and decision making Requirements/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree minimum.
Advanced degree preferred.
• Served as system administrator for a SaaS Marketing tool • Experience in holistic marketing across brands at large companies • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, functions, and strategic concepts • Knowledgeable on marketing operations, marketing financial, and/or supply chain/procurement processes.
• Experienced with Marketing Technology platforms such as Uptempo, Allocadia, Aprimo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Workfront.
• Strategic and operational skills; able to think through strategic challenges and build ground-up solutions • Experience working with software customer success teams and implementation consultants to build and execute product enhancements roadmap.
• This position requires being in the office 3+ days per week in one of the advertised work locations.
