GVH Distribution, a national company, is looking for an *ACCOUNT MANAGER* who is a highly motivated individual to build and maintain a strong relationship with our customers while increasing sales in the assigned territory.
This prospective team member will be a "go getter" with excellent follow-up skills who provides solutions, adds value, builds and maintains strong relationships with our customers (independent grocery retailers), while maintaining a work-life balance.

This position will be responsible for primarily covering Southern California and Central California, with occasional travel to Northern California as well.

The starting salary for this position is up to $60,000 per year, dependent on experience .
Additionally, there is potential for sales volume *bonuses and profit sharing*!
*Responsibilities (include but not limited to):*
* Engaging with customers in assigned territory in-person, on the phone, and via email; developing rapport with customer contacts and becoming the single point of contact.
* Actively call on prospective /new accounts, identifying new opportunities, and following up with contacts.
* Weekly pre-planning and providing customer visit recaps.
* Meet and exceed allocated sales volume and profit margin objectives.
* Maintain accurate customer records.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plan and promote the sales of any and all company products and/or services.
*Qualifications and skills:*
* 1-2 years of sales or merchandising experience preferred
* Ability to understand customer needs through conversational interaction and convert those needs into sales
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
*Requirements:*
* 18 years or older
* Valid driver's License
* High School Diploma.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
* 3-5 years of grocery packaging sales experience
* The ability to understand the needs of business accounts through conversational interaction and converting those needs into sales.
* Prior experience and knowledge with UNFI is preferred.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
