Associate Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has formed a partnership with a successful Plaintiff Firm that specializes in Labor and Employment Law.
Our expertise lies in handling cases related to wage and hour class and representative actions.
Our firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney who has a strong desire to transition into employment law.
We will provide training under the tutelage of former big-firm lawyers and the opportunity for growth with a path to partnership in the future.
You must possess strong verbal and written communication, research, organizational, and analytical skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and have prior experience with California State and Federal civil procedures including handling discovery and law and motion, and have a passion for advocating for employees' rights.

Responsibilities
Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, and independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.
Prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies.
Provide effective and timely communications, information, legal advice, and other services to clients and claims on legal and factual issues.
Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures.
Responsible for the prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases; and
Assist in preparing and presenting witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial and administrative hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions.
Requirements
Candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree.
Candidate must be a member of the California State Bar.
1 - 3 yrs of Civil Litigation Minimum.
Must have experience working in a plaintiff-focused law firm
Candidate must also have strong communication and writing skills.
Highly computer literate with proficiency in Word and Excel; and
Desire to work for a corporation utilizing skills acquired in law school and/or through legal experience.

Base Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000 (DOE) + Bonuses/commissions
