We are seeking a skilled Paralegal with extensive experience in personal injury law to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a diverse caseload of personal injury matters.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals to deliver exceptional legal services.
*Responsibilities:* * Assist attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
* Conduct intake interviews with clients, gather relevant case information, and maintain accurate and up-to-date case files.
* Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
* Coordinate with medical providers, experts, and witnesses to gather evidence and support case preparation.
* Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, and trial materials for court proceedings.
* Manage deadlines, calendars, and scheduling for court appearances, depositions, and meetings.
* Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to personal injury matters.
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
* Assist with settlement negotiations and draft settlement agreements as needed.
* Provide administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling meetings, answering phones, and maintaining office supplies.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Paralegal certificate or degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal in personal injury law.
* Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software (e.
g.
, Westlaw, LexisNexis, CaseMap).
* Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence rules, and substantive law related to personal injury claims.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and completeness in all tasks.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in accordance with legal profession guidelines.
