Mott MacDonald is seeking Project Managers who will oversee and manage infrastructure improvement projects such as Airports, Roadways, Bridges, Dams, Channels, Pump Stations, Waterworks, and Sewers within County of Los Angeles.
The ideal candidate will possess experience managing the design and construction of infrastructure projects through various phases including planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, environmental permitting, construction, and close-out.
Candidate Specification Candidates are required to have at least 5 years of progressive experience in managing municipal infrastructure projects through planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, environmental permitting, construction, and close-out.
Candidates with experience managing/designing/constructing roadway and bridge infrastructure will be given preference.
Candidates are required to possess the following qualifications: Minimum 5 years of project management and concurrent field construction experience Licensed professional engineer in state of California or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Effective oral and written communication skills Work experience in project planning and development Ability to independently manage all aspects of a project Ability to develop and control project scope Ability to develop and maintain project budgets Ability to develop and review project schedules Skilled in reviewing and coordinating the preparation of construction documents Ability to effectively facilitate project team and client meetings Ability to effectively negotiate and prepare change orders Ability to effectively monitor and coordinate construction activities with the various project stakeholders Ability to adapt and respond effectively to project issues and challenges Ability to set and manage project expectations Must be knowledgeable in CEQA/NEPA Experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery desirable Experience with Design-Bid-Build project delivery desirable Experience with Deferred Maintenance/Refurbishment projects desirable Knowledge of Public Contracting Code and practices Salary Range: $100,000 - $138,000 Benefits: 401k, medical, dental and vision insurance, STD/LTD disability, holiday, vacation and sick time, parental leave and company paid life insurance Job Profile Here at Mott MacDonald, we are experts in engineering, management, and development services supporting multisector project work in over 150 countries.
