*Position Summary*
The Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Plant Manager and Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor and works as part of a team to ensure that all food manufacturing equipment is maintained in the best physical condition possible and that all service requests are completed in a timely manner.
*Maintenance*
· Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs to all production line equipment before and during operations, and on selected days dedicated to maintenance.
* Observe and practice safety procedures when conducting maintenance work.
* Inspect equipment weekly and report any needed repairs to your direct supervisor.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Repair equipment or cause of the equipment to be repaired by a vendor or outside contractor, in accordance with Serv-Rite Meat Company Inc.
policies and procedures.
* Inspect processing equipment and provide preventative maintenance services in accordance with appropriate preventative maintenance guidelines.
Prepare and maintain all appropriate equipment inspection and preventative maintenance logs as required.
* Maintain the maintenance equipment supplies (spare parts) inventory and order as needed.
* Assist in the preparation of supply orders.
* Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
* Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
* Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance emergencies.
Special projects as designated by the Director of Operations or designee.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.
00 - $30.
00 per hour
