Salary up to $150,000
The Plant Engineer will lead the Engineering and Maintenance teams to support plant operations and to ensure engineering standards, project implementation and maintenance systems are aligned with plant and corporate goals.
This role will also be responsible for developing, maintaining and executing the capital project listing.

Requirements
BS Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years Engineering / Capital Project Management experience
Possess strong leadership skills and a strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes
Strong project management skills with experience managing and commissioning capital projects in excess of $1MM
Must have a demonstrated history of implementing change and designing processes such as mechanical integrity, project management, equipment design, etc.
Must have experience making improvements utilizing 5S, lean techniques, or other similar tools
Strong knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management standards
Must be able to interact professionally with contractors, suppliers and employees at all levels of the organization
Must have strong equipment and system troubleshooting skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to support a plant on a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week schedule as well as provide support for after work hours
Proficient AutoCAD
Strongly Preferred
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Experience with Wonderware, PLC and automation systems
Project Management Certification
Essential Functions
Execute performance management responsibilities such as hiring, coaching, discipline, performance reviews, team building, personnel development, etc.
for the Engineering and Maintenance Department
Cultivate a safety-based environment focused on developing, improving and following safe work practices and regulations
Establish Engineering and Maintenance Department goals which align with corporate and plant goals
Provide engineering and maintenance services to maintain operational capability of plant equipment
Develop maintain and execute the capital project listing targeted at meeting short/long term plant goals
Execute capital projects including project design, job scope development, equipment specification, project cost generation, installation, commissioning and closeout activities
Develop, implement and maintain a preventative maintenance system in accordance with corporate reliability standards
Review, develop and update maintenance, engineering and project management-based procedures
Execute training and recertification programs for engineering and maintenance personnel
Lead management of change, process hazard analyses and project reviews
Collaborate with plant and corporate teams to evaluate safety, quality, cost performance, service and productivity related issues and ensure that effective corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner
Perform other duties as assigned by management
