*Role: Mechanical Engineer*
In this role you will design industrial tools, dies, gauges, drill & assembly jigs, fixtures, machine attachments and equipment, required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
While being the principle contributor and/or leader of a task, you shall work with internal/external customers, and colleagues to ensure that the design meets the customer needs.
Core Competencies:
- Experience with drawing release criteria and related documents for soundness, efficiency, and simplicity in design;
completeness, clarity, and dimensional accuracy;
correctness of materials and processes;
conformity to design/drafting standards (e.
g.
GD&T, ASME), design specifications, and practicability;
and economy of fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Experience with industry standard CAD design tools including CATIA, NX CAD
- Knowledge of manufacturing, methods & fabrication processes (e.
g.
, machining, welding, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with stress analysis techniques, concepts and practices
- Experienced in structural analysis methods including NASTRAN models of metallic and composite structures, as well as hand analysis.
What work schedule with the contractor be working: 9/80
Hours: 5:00 – 2:30 PM or 6:00 – 3:30 PM, can be left to their preference on start time with associated leave time
