Slagle Development is seeking a full-time project manager to join its small entrepreneurial real estate development management team based in Manhattan Beach, California.
Slagle Development has a successful eight-year track record focusing on the management of large-scale ground-up and renovation construction projects in the luxury residential and mid-size commercial markets.
Most of their work is in Los Angeles County, but various projects and clients sometimes create opportunity to work in other states and countries.
Projects are managed for third party clients and the firm’s own in-house developments when the appropriate opportunity, partnership, or market cycle allows.
This hire will be responsible for managing clients, architects, designers, engineers, general contractors, and various other consultants for multiple projects at a time.
The Principal will oversee and guide all efforts.
Core Responsibilities:
* Project correspondence via phone, e-mail, text
* Schedule creation and audit
* Budget creation and audit
* Meeting agendas and minutes
* Site visits
* Photography
* Review and mark-up of all documents, plans, schedules
* Buy-out review
* Billing review
* Shop drawing review
* Various other ad-hoc requirements

Pursuing a focused, self-driven, detailed oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to read, comprehend and mark-up plans is required.
A background in architecture, engineering and/or construction is necessary.
Team currently includes the founding Principal and one Project Manager who has been with the company for four years.
This hire will be the third employee of the company and will work with the Principal intimately on a daily basis.
The hire will have a dedicated desk in the Principal’s home office.
There will be many days outside of the office spent on jobsites or working from home because the Principal is on other jobsites.
Require competency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is desired, but not required.
Compensation based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.
