We hope you consider joining us! Job Overview Paint, maintain, and repair all corridors, rooms, and public areas in accordance with all maintenance procedures/ standards and safety & security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities Paint, maintain, and repair all painted, stained, and varnished surfaces throughout the hotel Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools, including measuring surfaces, applying spackle and plaster, mixing pain, using brushes, and rollers Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces including wallpaper and fabric wall coverings Maintain and repair grouted, wood, and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering Notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.
) Attend safety meetings & other related meetings.
Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications Education/Formal Training No formal education needed.
Experience Prior janitorial/ custodial/ painting experience desirable.
Knowledge/Skills Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Ability to meet standards of appearance.
Can communicate well with guests.
Ability to respond requests and questions.
Ability to assess required reaction to meet standards.
Minimal speech communication skills to utilize alternate communication.
Minimal literacy necessary; can utilize alternate training tools.
