Who We Are Looking For: As the Director of Retention for Thrive Causemetics, your primary responsibility is to drive the company's growth and revenue by developing and executing strategies that target existing customer reacquisition, loyalty, retention, and overall brand awareness.
You will lead a team of professionals in earned and owned marketing channels to achieve these objectives, collaborating closely with the Growth team in activating paid marketing targeting our existing customer base.
This role requires a strong understanding of DTC business models, digital marketing, data analysis, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing e-commerce landscape.
What You'll Be Doing: Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive retention, loyalty and re-engagement strategy for the DTC company, aligned with the overall business objectives.
This includes setting clear goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
Customer Reacquisition: Lead the program to reengage lapsed customers through various digital marketing channels, such as CRM, SMS, direct mail, paid advertising, social media, influencer partnerships, and more.
Customer Retention: Develop and execute strategies to improve customer loyalty and retention.
This may involve personalized marketing campaigns and loyalty programs.
Creative Strategy: Inform messaging approach and creative tactics to speak to customers at each stage of their brand and customer journeys, in close collaboration with the brand team.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior, market trends, and campaign performance.
Make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts and improve ROI and LTV.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, including digital marketers, analysts, and content creators.
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Budget Management: Collaborating with Growth to determine the retention-focused marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across different marketing channels and campaigns.
Product and Brand Development: Collaborate with product teams to ensure products align with market demand and customer preferences.
Continuously monitor and enhance the brand image.
Performance Measurement: Regularly track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights to senior management and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Competitive Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and threats.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and synergy in achieving company goals.
Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices, including data privacy and consumer protection laws.
What Will Make You Stand Out: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Business, or similar field.
Proven experience in a retention marketing leadership role within a DTC company or e-commerce business.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, SMS, SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
Proficiency in data analytics and the ability to draw actionable insights from data.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth and revenue.
Knowledge of DTC industry trends and best practices.

The base pay range for this role is $160,000 to $200,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, experience.
This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
