Job Summary
The Senior Director of Partnerships & Sales at Black Love will play an instrumental role in charting the future of our brand's monetization.
This individual will not only be tasked with unlocking new revenue streams across our various platforms but will also act as a steward for our mission, ensuring that all partnerships align with our vision of championing Black Love in its myriad forms.
This role will report to the Head of Partnerships & Sales.
Develop and sell integrated programs, sponsorships, and partnerships efforts across all of Black Love, Inc.
's digital media, video, newsletters, social, podcasts and live event platforms.
Generate revenue and develop strategic business across all available platforms.
Ensure all revenue goals are achieved and exceeded where possible.
Build and grow a year-round sales pipeline with new and existing partners.
Form strategic business and market partnerships.
Collaborate with other internal departments to develop pitches and execute contracted deliverables.
Work hand-in-hand with internal teams to craft compelling pitches and secure buy-in for partnership initiatives.
Oversee the end-to-end account management process, from initial sales to execution and activation.
Ensure seamless delivery of all contracted items, upholding Black Love's reputation for excellence.
Requirements
Strong past sales performance, with 5+ years in sales, marketing, business development experience with start-up or early-stage experience
Proven ability to meet aggressive sales goals in a competitive environment
Experience in negotiating and implementing partnerships, selling events, and building custom client-direct programs
Interest and experience in media and/or the entertainment sector
Proven track record of selling and executing content deals
Significant experience creating marketing/digital campaigns from idea to execution.
Strong contacts and relationships with multicultural agencies and brand teams
Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, CRM, and/or comparable project management tools
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills, confident in team building, mentoring and guiding talent
Deep understanding of the digital landscape, social platforms and technology trends
A healthy appreciation and understanding of Black culture

provides a competitive salary range of $100K - $150K base + commission, and eligibility for annual bonus.

We have embraced a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with in-person collaboration.
As such, we’re looking for candidates based in Los Angeles and willing and able to commute to the office 2-3x/week.
