About the Role & Program
The Marketing Intern for Games will support the Senior Manager, Marketing on brand and product marketing strategy/activity across assigned licensed titles within the Disney Games global portfolio by partnering with licensees to deliver world-class campaigns.
You will help each Games licensee successfully create/implement go-to-market plans that build brand awareness, engage consumers, and drive conversions through thoughtful brand storytelling, data-driven insights, and creative innovation – all grounded in a consumer-centric integrated marketing approach.
The Marketing Intern plays a meaningful role in coordinating schedules, details, and deliverables across all assigned titles and is driven!
The Marketing Intern reports to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing.
What You Will Do
Support the Senior Manager, Marketing by collaborating with cross-functional teams (Brand, Production, Design, PR, Legal, and Synergy partners) to secure alignment/feedback/approvals on all major marketing deliverables and activations with licensees
We coordinate all asset deliveries and ensure high quality, on-time deliverables for assigned titles
Maintain asset management tools/directories to track/coordinate deliverables
Draft and distribute guidance, updates, scheduling, and protocols pertaining to assigned titles
Schedule, track and coordinate social/community support and CRM calendars
Draft, proofread, and edit public-facing Marketing copy and communications
Coordinate with regional teams on incoming/outgoing requests/approvals
Develop knowledge of important metrics and reporting, marketing tactics, and Disney Synergy programs
Learn appropriate benchmarks and goals across greater marketing channels/campaigns
Become a strong brand steward for The Walt Disney Company brands to deliver on-brand marketing and creative
Foster relationships with both external licensees and internal teams throughout The Walt Disney Company
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education and/or experience in Marketing (preferably within the gaming industry)
Passion for the entertainment industry (gaming and consumer electronics, strongly preferred)
Knowledge of brand management, product marketing, user acquisition, or social/community
Highly organized, meticulous self-starter with a highly productive work ethic and desire to learn/grow
Interpersonal skills; ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of personalities
Resourceful problem-solver with a can-do attitude; works well under pressure across multiple projects
Analytical skills; ability to analyze data and extrapolate insights
Written/verbal skills and presentation style; Prior experience with Keynote/PowerPoint, Excel, and Airtable preferred
Education
You’ll be a Junior or Senior undergraduate or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications/PR, Games or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Possess unrestricted work authorization

This internship is a hybrid position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through December 2024
Fully available from Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM Pacific Time Zone for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Glendale, CA area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this internship in CA is $21.
