Need a lucky break! (Los Angeles)

My husband and I relocated to LA a few months ago and have been running into a stretch of bad luck.
Came here for a job that ended up being a scam and cost us all our savings and then our car was stolen with all our belongings inside.
We have lost everything and can use a break.
I've worked as a hairstylist all my adult life and he is a certified welder and a jack of all trades.
We are both looking for work but can't start work when we don't have a roof over our heads! I have reached out to every agency I can find for help with housing but just get added to wait-lists.
We don't steal , we treat people with kindness and respect and are very low to no drama! We are both willing to help around the house and are happy to pay rent as soon as we have money coming in.
