The Hire Mark is Recruiting a VP of Finance for a Property Management Company in Beverly Hills.
This is a full time, in-person role with pay from 150k-200k+ **Job Title: Finance Director** **Location:** Beverly Hills, CA (In-person) **Benefits:** Comprehensive benefits package **Team Oversight:** Directly oversees 1-2 team members **Experience Requirements:** - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Finance Director or Controller in real estate or property management - Strong background as a controller in real estate or property management - Hedge fund experience is a plus - Demonstrated expertise in managing cash flows **Responsibilities:** 1.
**Financial Reporting:** - Prepare Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for properties - Monthly consolidation of financial data - Develop property cash flow statements - Execute fund movements 2.
**Hedge Fund Portfolio Management:** - Coordinate with third parties for hedge fund and bond transactions - Prepare trial balances for hedge fund portfolios - Understand trusts and entities related to the hedge fund 3.
**Entity Management:** - Open bank accounts, LLCs, and other entities as needed - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards 4.
**Loans:** - Manage loan-related transactions and documentation 5.
**Payroll Oversight:** - Act as the point person for external payroll services - Review and approve payroll processes 6.
**Insurance Renewals:** - Oversee the renewal process for insurance policies 7.
**Team Management:** - Provide oversight and guidance to the controller and bookkeeper - Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting 8.
**Property Management/Real Estate Background:** - Utilize knowledge and experience in property management and real estate - Familiarity with Yardi software is desirable 9.
**Tax Preparation:** - Contribute to tax preparation activities **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field - CPA or relevant professional certification is preferred - Excellent understanding of cash flow management - Strong organizational and leadership skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
