Position Description:
This position is a key member of the accounting team reporting to an Accounting Manager and contributing to a timely and accurate month-end close by performing specialized assignments related to the accounting for limited partnerships invested in Section 42 Low Income Housing properties through a multi-tier structure.
As of the date on which this job advertisement is posted, the Company anticipates that the hourly rate will add up to annual compensation range of $75,000- $85,000 (this represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s range for this position).
This position is also eligible for discretionary bonus on an annual basis.
Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
Responsibilities:

Review and identify daily cash receipts and apply them in various tracking systems (Including CLCS, CashPro, and MS Excel)
Track loan and fee payments on 400+ properties and report on delinquencies
Prepare reports and other analytical data to support mid-month projections and month-end close.
Reconcile bank accounts
Produce weekly summary reports of all receipts
Actively assist in implementing new accounting processes and streamlining existing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Work closely with other teams in the organization to ensure that all transactions are recorded properly and timely
Gather documentation and prepare responses to requests from internal and external auditors
Conduct follow up on expected receipts until resolved
Troubleshoot escalated issues and ensure that they are handled timely and effectively
Document and update standard operating procedures for key accounting processes
Provide special project assistance to various other groups
Produce ad hoc reports and analyses as necessary
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting/Business/Finance
2+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, including consolidations and real estate accounting
Low-Income Housing Tax Credit industry experience is a plus
Proficiency with Excel, Yardi or other Real Estate related software experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
