* We are seeking a Junior Property Accountant / Administrative Assistant for a designated portfolio of 15-20 properties.
The Junior Accountant / Administrative Assistant would be responsible in supporting both the accounting and management departments in the overall economic performance of the properties through diligent budgeting and ongoing oversight, including revenue growth, expense management and other financial goals.

*Junior Property Accountant* *– responsibilities will include:*
* Accurate and timely processing, posting, collection, and payment of A/R and A/P
* Assist in analyzing monthly property financials and performance metrics in pursuit of improving cash flow and investment returns
* Assist in the preparation and analysis of the financial statements, general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, budgets, cash flow projections and review of job cost reports for assigned assets.
* Perform daily activities such as receive checks, post receipts and prepare deposits; review and post payable invoices; review and post tenant billing adjustments; review and post prepayment application to open charges, and; update gross sales reports.
* Assist in Reconciling, verifying and validating all entries and postings to balance sheet and income statement accounts.
* Assist in preparing timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements for all entities
* Assist in comparing and analyzing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts with actual results
* Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
*Administrative Assistant – responsibilities will include:*
* Assist in supervising on-site maintenance team and ensure quality of work assigned
* Assist with bidding, negotiating, and supervising contracted services for assigned properties
* Assist with tenant lease compliance
* Assist in resolution of tenant and vendor issues
* Ensure competitive bidding process for vendor required services
* Maintain calendar and schedule meetings, telephone, and conference calls while relentlessly focusing on maximizing time.
* Act as a “gatekeeper” for incoming calls and correspondences
* Coordinate travel
* Participate in meetings and take minutes and notes, recording actions for distribution and follow up
* Prepare and edit internal and external communications.
* Streamline administrative processes
* Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents
* Take charge and be responsible for multiple important projects & initiatives
* Take responsibility for and ownership of managing the corporate business office - including inventory, vendors, and supplies
* Participate actively in the planning and execution of Company events
* Researching and implementation of improved processes and procedures

* The ideal candidate will be a high-integrity, self-driven, resourceful individual with:
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
* Experience with commercial real estate accounting
* Familiarity with property accounting statements / concepts (IS, BS, CF, Accrual / Cash)
* Strong quantitative and writing skills
* Solid knowledge of GAAP
* Detail oriented individual who will be responsible for the research and investigation of transactional level detail
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
* Understand contracts, leases and leasing objectives
* Team orientation, flexibility, and the ability to work well under pressure
* Experience in Yardi, MRI, or comparable software preferred
