Roots rock/Americana/Rockabilly/Blues/Indy band seeks 2nd guitarist to play some lead/rhythm.
Also looking to add keyboard/organ/synth to add classic organ sounds and modern indy-rock stuff.
We rehearse approx 1x a week in either DTLA/SOUTH LA/EAST LA and gig around the overall greater LA area.
Our set includes half originals half covers and we are moving towards an original recording project soon.
Our band gets a lot of good feedback but we need to add a couple musicians to the lineup for the type of music we're doing.
We started as a 50's rockabilly band many years ago but have moved towards a more modern sound over the years, someone said we're more Black Keys/Pixies than a straight 50's rockabilly band.
For guitarists, you don't have to be an incredible virtuoso, you don't have to be a rockabilly player, you don't need to shred or play fast, just be able to do some work on the strings, have a decent pedal board where you can bring a variety of sounds.
Keyboardists, this isn't really a band where you need
to be like Little Richard on the keys, if you can do that, great, but it's more of a fill in the holes/hold root chords, some flourishes/synth sounds/B3 hammond stuff, etc.
