*_ Job Title: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist- AMFT - FSP Homeless Adults Type: Full Time, Benefits available Location: West East Los Angeles, CA Social Service Professionals, "the professional's choice" for careers in Social Work and Therapy, has a need for multiple Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) to provide FSP counseling to homeless adults with severe mental illness in Los Angeles, CA.
The Clinician will provide street-based outreach to homeless clients with the aim to connect them to supportive mental health services and permanent housing.
Choose between working in West Los Angeles or South Los Angeles.

Examples of Essential Duties: Evaluate patients’ psycho-social needs; Evaluate patients' family/social situation to support a treatment plan; Participate in on-going counseling; Utilize community resources to assist patients' psycho-social needs; Document history, care plans and prepare reports as needed.
Education Requirement: Graduation from an accredited university or college with a Master Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.
Qualifications: Current California Certification as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapy (AMFT); Current AHA-approved CPR card Recruiting Guidelines: Skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, logic and reasoning, judgment, time management techniques and data entry; Ability to make improvements or take corrective action; Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources; Organize, plan, and prioritize work; Communicate with people outside the organization; Represent the organization to patients, clients and the public; Deal calmly and effectively in high stress situations; Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time; Work within a team as well as independently; Speak, read, and write effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience while demonstrating the proper use of grammar.
