Clinical Supervisor
Responsibilities
Supervises Primary (Individual) Therapists
• Creates and oversees treatment plans and interventions communication, notes
• Reviews Primary therapist’s paperwork each week: progress notes, group notes, treatment goals, assessment forms
• Provides training to Primary Therapists
• Reviews all discharge paperwork prior to client’s discharge
• Oversee emails to ensure communication
Supervises AMFT, ASCW, APCC therapists in accordance with BBS requirements to meet licensing requirements
Communication with referring professional: facilitate relaying of clinical information, provide direct clinical info.
Ensures client records are comprehensive and complete to meet state licensing and Joint Commission standards
• Assists with crisis intervention when needed, assuring the milieu is therapeutic and safe
Notifies the team of safety issues that require more support.
Communicates client concerns with all team members and complete safety planning as needed
Assists Clinical Director in facilitating weekly Clinical Meeting
• Carries a small case load of up to two clients (seen 3x weekly)
o Facilitates comprehensive assessments, evaluation and diagnostic summaries for assigned clients
o Attends weekly team clinical meeting to discuss client progress in treatment
o Writes and reviews letters for clients (gender, IEP, medical necessity letters)
o Conducts provider consultation calls with at home providers as well as aftercare providers following client’s discharge
o Completes treatment objectives and forms for assigned clients
o Supports clients during psych testing results meetings, intake/assessment interviews for aftercare
o Initiates discharge and aftercare planning for assigned clients

Minimum Requirements Duties and Responsibilities
Licensed Mental Health Professional in the State of California (Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor or Psychologist) for 2+ years
Two years experience working as a therapist or a clinical supervisor in an acute or subacute treatment setting (inpatient/ residential ) for mental health disorders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate computer Skills (Word, Excel, email, internet)
• Ability to be onsite Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm daily
