Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Operations manager and be responsible for month-end entries and close, reconciliations, financial reporting, forecasting, system implementation projects, vendor analysis, and ad hoc projects per management request.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily bank, G/L, and various other account reconciliations
Record accruals for month-end entries
Support various key month-end closing procedures
Analyze account information for asset, liability, and expense journal entries
Research variances on Accounts Payable and Account Receivable ledger & sub-ledgers
Practice a strong working knowledge of technical accounting regarding loans, disbursements, revenue recognition, credits/debits, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
Detail-oriented and organized
Intricate understanding of GAAP & analyzing data
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, preferably on a large team
Openness, interest to learn, and willingness to "dive into" the work
Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills
PREFERRED: Knowledge and use of Great Planes, Oracle, & SQL
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related.
2-3 years of full-cycle accounting experience
Intricate understanding of GAAP & analyzing data
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, preferably on a large team
Openness, interest to learn, and willingness to "dive into" the work
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of SQL, Macro, and Great Plans
MBA a plus, but not required
CPA a plus, but not required
Job Type:
Full-time
PAY RATE:
$90,000 - $110,000 per year
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable
