What we are looking for:
Manage various payment processing tasks to ensure that vendors are paid in a timely, accurate and organized manner.
This may include, but is not limited to, the following:
Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
Review and enter invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies and procedures
Coordinate and execute timely payment of invoices, including check runs, electronic fund transfers, and other payment methods
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions, including filing and organizing invoices, payment receipts, and related documentation
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any issues or concerns
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls; prepare and present accounts payable reports and metrics to management
Continuously evaluate and enhance accounts payable processes, systems, and controls to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
Provide guidance, support, and training to the accounts payable team, foster a positive work environment, and promote professional growth
What we need from you:
Associate Degree required
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an AP Supervisor
Demonstrate skills and experience in managing goals through collaboration and teamwork
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with attention to detail
Ability to work independently, and communicate effectively with others
Working knowledge of Excel, Great Plains experience a plus
Experience in transitioning to paperless processes, including electronic document storage a plus
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and capable of meeting tight deadlines
