As a Project Coordinator supporting TEC’s Public Sector Energy Programs, you’ll help communities transform their energy use and empower public agencies to execute smart strategies that build local resilience in California's transforming clean energy economy.
TEC is scouting for a talented Project Coordinator (PC) to provide administrative, planning, coordination, technical, and implementation assistance to our growing portfolio of programs.
You can expect to immediately support one or more of the Energy Services team contracts including the Southern California Regional Energy Network (SoCalREN) Public Agency Programs and Inland Regional Energy Network (I-REN) programs which engage the collective action of public agencies to save energy and money while protecting their community’s valuable resources.
The PC will support TEC’s Energy Services Program Operations and Financing team by providing analytical support through the reporting of data, researching funding/financing opportunities, and developing project delivery tools/templates to ensure the project implementation team can provide technical assistance to agencies as they plan, finance, and implement energy efficiency projects.
Qualified candidates are able to track program and project details, produce spreadsheet-based reports, coordinate and perform administrative duties at meetings, develop reports and presentation content, and be able to effectively support multiple team members across various departments.
TEC is also interested in candidates open to leveraging their skills and expertise across other programs and initiatives as our business opportunities evolve.
The Energy Services Program Operations and Financing team supports a variety of TEC’s program activities; therefore, TEC is interested in candidates who can be flexible and leverage their skills across TEC’s projects and initiatives.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities Your responsibilities will focus on supporting program operations and funding/financing that ensures the project implementation team has the tools needed to complete efficiency projects, including but not limited to: Primary Responsibilities Assist in tracking, reporting and analysis of metrics related to contract goals, deliverables and objectives by using tracking templates and customer relationship management (CRM) databases Utilize Google Sheets/Excel for data analysis, troubleshooting Excel-based reports and tools, and maintaining Excel-based templates to prepare financial analyses and audit energy savings calculations Develop and streamline project implementation tools and templates, including but not limited to audit workbooks, financing calculators, project proposals, deliverable talking points, and meeting agendas Provide administrative support for client invoicing processes through the review of sub-consultant charges via Google Sheet-based tracking tools Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, such as public agencies, Investor Owned Utilities (IOUs), technical sub-consultants, and state-wide energy efficiency incentive program implementers Schedule and support the facilitation of meetings, developing program correspondence including reports, presentations, agendas, and meeting minutes Other Duties Produce regularly scheduled data-based reports and dashboards on the progress of program goals Develop a solid comprehension of program components and initiatives, organize and communicate relevant program documents Research relevant funding and financing opportunities and support application development for public agencies as assigned and present findings to internal staff Serve as a company-wide resource for TEC Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience Strong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to capture and analyze data in a spreadsheet (MS Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
) and utilize advanced functions such as pivot tables, lookup tables, and conditional formatting) Experience with Salesforce platform and Google Suite applications desired Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks to support various team members Ability to complete assignments in a thorough, accurate and timely manner Interest and ability to quickly learn and understand fundamentals of building systems, building energy performance, energy efficiency and distributed energy resource concepts, and energy project financing terminology Relevant work experience in the energy efficiency and sustainability industry is preferred Excellent oral and written communications skills.

COMPENSATION Salary: The starting base pay range for this position is $48,000 - $65,000 annually.
This hiring range is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range at the time of the posting and is subject to change.
The actual compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including a candidate’s experience, education, training, skills, and certifications.
