GENERAL JOB DETAILS: Job Title: Facility Maintenance and Driver Coordinator Job Type: Full Time Salary: $30 per hour Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Qualifications JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilities maintenance Plans, supervises, reviews, and inspects the work of assigned vendors/partners to assure work quality and timely completion of assigned duties and responsibilities utilizing operations management software.
Primary contact for alarm systems at assigned facility.
Ensure the maintenance of BGCMLA facilities (floors, doors, outdoors, windows, walls, and roofs) by completing basic handywork.
Oversee the facilities budget in order to maintain clean, safe, and functional facilities.
Promotes SQA standards, follows and promotes company policy and procedures.
Comply with and enforce safety standards as required by OSHA regulations.
Assist with pickup and delivery of supplies, equipment, and donated items.
Maintain relationships with vendors and partners, actively addressing any concerns they raise, and proactively identifying and executing corrective measures to overcome challenges as they arise.
Supervise and train the maintenance team.
Monitor work environment and the use of safety equipment to ensure the safety of employees and other individuals.
Guide and educate the team on the correct handling and upkeep of all equipment, efficient work methodologies, asset management, preventative maintenance, and processing of work orders.
In collaboration with the facilities team, responds to and completes all work orders in the operations management software, Asset Essentials Management system that are either emergency, routine, or preventive maintenance.
Performs custodial tasks, such as, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, washing windows, dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning air vents and filters, changing light bulbs and cleaning fans.
Regularly clean and disinfect bathrooms both inside and out, potentially multiple times a day based on activities.
Maintain cleanliness of countertops and floors and replenish paper supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of kitchen.
Replaces and upkeeps indoor lighting while ensuring fixtures are kept clean.
Responds to facility emergency situations to resolve and prevent injuries or hazardous conditions and prepares work-site safety setup.
Provides set up and removal of tables, chairs and other equipment for events, daily meetings, and classes.
Wash chairs and tables as necessary.
Maintain clean walls and apply paint as needed.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Club Driver Coordinate all paperwork for transportation to ensure compliance.
Maintains Club vehicles in a safe operating condition through prescribed daily vehicles inspections, including washing, cleaning windows, mirrors, vehicles interior and exterior; check and maintain fuel, oil, and water levels; check brakes, break lights, and doors; report and log all findings, defects, and malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Supervise other Club drivers, including but not limited to ensuring proper paperwork and scheduling.
Ensure all Club Drivers maintain their Class B license.
Maintain records concerning vehicle maintenance, miles driven, and number of children transported and other related matters.
Completes pre/posttest daily, promptly reporting, correcting, or causing to be corrected any noted defect.
Completes and submits all required paperwork on time and recommends needed repairs to vehicles.
Assist members in proper vehicle evacuation procedures as assigned.
Maintain order and discipline among members while driving.
Participates as part of a team to run quality programs by helping where needed or directed.
Participates in training / educational opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
Must attend staff meetings and participate in staff training events.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED.
Must be at least of leal age and possess and maintain a valid class B driver’s license.
Passenger & Youth Bus Endorsement.
Valid Medical Card.
Combined experience and / or formal training equivalent to a minimum of two years where: Excellent communication and inter-personalskills.
Facility maintenance Pass criminal background check.
Ability to assess and prioritize maintenance needs.
Knowledge of basic maintenance, plumbing and minor repairs.
Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications and TB clearance.
Pass mandatory random drug and alcohol test.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Follow written and oral instructions.
The provisions of the California State Motor Vehicle Code applicable to the operation of vehicles transporting members.
Able to train employees in the safe and efficient use of all equipment required for completion of work assignments.
Prepare reports, including work orders, activity reports, and maintenance logs.
Understanding of preventative maintenance practices.
Thorough knowledge of general commercial/public facility maintenance.
Knowledge of subject matter within core areas and youth development in general.
Ability to deal effectively with members, including disciplinary issues.
Demonstrated ability in relationship building and working with young people and parents.
WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING: Travel between Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles sites and schools and various field trip sites as well as in the community is required.
Must meet the insurance standards of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles.
Hours are based on school calendar and attendance patterns/trends – evening hours are required during the school year; hours will vary during summer and school breaks; occasional weekend hours are required PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands and characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those occurring in the performance of the essential functions of this job.

Required to work around youth and adults where noise levels may be moderate to high during activities.
Physical exertion may be required to lift supplies, tools and equipment up to 25 pounds.
