Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
Able to assist in all types of surveys, including, but not limited to, construction staking, As-Builts, ALTA topographic, boundary and subdivision surveys
Able to read and write stakes accurately and legibly
Trains apprentices in the use of survey equipment (Leica), survey methods and safety standards
Ensures accuracy of all staking
Assists with duties as assigned by the Party Chief or Project Manager
Maintains survey equipment ensuring it’s clean and operational
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Completion of apprentice training program
1-3 years previous Surveying experience
Knowledge of survey practices and procedures
Fundamental knowledge of mathematics, geometry and trigonometry and appropriate software to perform these functions.
Familiar with relevant equipment such as Trimble Robotic Total Station, digital and conventional levels, Leica 3D scanners, and related software applications.
General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, internet, etc.
