Position Summary: A Unit Supervisor will supervise designated staff and programs in the Outpatient program to assure the service quality adheres to Enki and LA County Department of Mental Health policies and procedures.
The supervisor will provide support to the clinical staff and management team as needed.
Core Duties And Responsibilities: Provide administrative and clinical oversight to assigned staff via regular supervision.
Document staff performance and growth objectives.
Ensure that staff client service hour expectations are met to ensure capacity to serve community.
Facilitate Unit Meetings, ensuring staff are given accurate, timely information.
Provide clinical and administrative trainings to ensure adherence to Enki policies and procedures, documentation standards, and EBP certification requirements.
Provide consultation to staff on clinical issues, including diagnosis review, reviewing mandated reporting, DTS/DTO and review of DCFS Reports.
Be available to respond to clinic crises or client complaints.
Provide client care as needed, including intake assessments and ongoing treatment.
Assist in organizing, directing, and supporting inter-agency relationships with different mental health disciplines, assuring the treatment received by clients in the program reflects the input of the multi-disciplinary team.
Attend/facilitate Enki meetings as needed.
Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding staff for clinical positions.
Train and orient new hires to Enki?s mission and documentation standards.
Establish and maintain relationships with other community agencies, schools, programs, and the Department of Mental Health by attending program specific meetings and/or trainings.
Inform Clinic Manager of significant administrative, clinical and/or personnel issues.
Coordinate with Clinic Manager to develop program(s) that meet the needs of target population.
For supervisors who are 2 years post licensure, provide clinical supervision to unlicensed staff who are accruing experience for licensure.
For LPS designated clinics, obtain LPS designation and provide LPS assessments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education And Experience Preferred: Masters Degree level or above in a related field.
One (1) year administrative experience supervising a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.
Knowledge of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health policies and procedures.
Two (2) years experience working with Chronically Mentally Ill clients.
Licenses/Certifications: Licensed or license eligible MFT, LCSW, LPCC, Ph.
D.
or Psy.
D.
with clinical experience (i.
e.
providing individual, group and family treatment) under supervision and registered with the State Board.
Valid California driver?s license, current automobile insurance, and eligibility to drive for the Company.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Ability to perform in a positive, courteous, flexible and adaptive manner.
Able to exercise independent judgement and initiative.
Computer literate and experienced with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel.
Experience using Exym and/or other Electronic Medical Record databases is a plus.
Must be able to communicate clearly, both orally and written.
Possesses excellent organizational skills and must be able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements: See well enough (with or without corrected vision) to read fine print, hand-written materials, and a computer screen.
Speak and hear well enough (with or without assistive device) to converse in person and by telephone.
Finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms, including ability to use a computer keyboard.
Have the mobility (with or without assistive device) to stand, sit, crouch, and move from one work area to another.
Have the strength to lift, carry or push office equipment and supplies used in normal job functions up to 20 lbs.
Stamina to effectively perform work activities.
