Per Diem Vocational Nurse

Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, the LVN will serve patients and assist clinicians of the Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center.
The LVN will carry out nursing functions according to written standing orders or clinician order.
The LVN will act in the role of a Clinic Assistant when needed.
The LVN will assist in maintaining the Allergy/Immunization Clinic.
Hours may include evenings and weekends.
Percentage of Time: 40% Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:00 pm Qualifications for Position 10 Records Qualifications Required/Preferred Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Licensed Vocation Nurse, as determined by the California Board of Licensed Vocation Nursing.
Required Skill in interacting diplomatically to establish rapport and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, administrators and personnel in other departments.
Required Ability to work independently and set priorities.
Required Skill in communication theory and application, including interviewing.
Required Skill in written and oral communication.
Required Skill and ability to effectively communicate and provide health care information to a diverse student population.
Required Skill and ability to utilize current technology to provide up-to-date medical care, charting, and communication with students and staff.
Preferred Possession of a current CPR certification.
Required Skill in using a PC and knowledge of software such as MS Office, Word, and Outlook.
Required Venipuncture, Phlebotomy Certification, or Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certified.
