Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Responsibilities: - Provide personal care and assistance to individuals in their homes - Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals - Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse or supervisor - Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment - Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary - Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and laundry - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients - Follow care plans and communicate effectively with the healthcare team Experience: - Previous experience in a similar role, such as a nursing home or home health agency, is preferred - Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus - Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures is beneficial Skills: - Ability to lift and transfer clients safely and with proper body mechanics - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals - Knowledge of infection control practices and ability to maintain a clean and safe environment - Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide quality care to individuals in need - Ability to follow instructions and work independently while adhering to established care plans Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
