Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (Glendale Medical)
This is a partially remote and part time position working 7 - 8 hours per week.
The pay range for this role is between $138.
37 to $153.
74 an hour.

Summary Providing psychiatric/medical evaluation, diagnosis and medication management services to outpatient clients in the Child and Family Division, ensuring compliance with program standards, contracts, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Providing professional consultation to other staff relative to planning and implementing client treatment programs.
Primary Duties Conducts initial psychiatric assessments; diagnoses needs for medication; prescribes and monitors client responses to medications; obtains informed consent; and documents findings and treatment in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requests appropriate physical, neurological, and other laboratory tests as indicated; reviews/interprets results and initiates appropriate course of action/treatment.
Attends, participates, leads and/or facilitates meetings and/or training with medical and/or other staff as requested or required by the Agency.
Provides consultation, advice and guidance to therapists and support staff relative to the diagnosis, and medication/other treatment for clients; responds to calls from staff for assistance with clients and/or medications.
Assist in psychiatric hospitalization of clients and monitor the status of those hospitalized.
• Completes all appropriate records, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Participates in peer reviews in collaboration with Quality Assurance on medical/psychiatric practices and documentation completed by the medical/clinical staff to ensure all legal, contractual, and revenue generating reports meet or exceed required Agency and applicable regulatory agencies’ standards; actively participates in methods to improve quality client care.
Develops and maintains psychiatric skills through continuing education and maintains active unrestricted medical licensure and DEA certification.
Secondary Duties The employee in this position does not have formal managerial responsibility.
However, as a senior professional, he or she is expected to provide leadership in the care of clients and advice, guidance and training to those with lesser skills or experience.
Position Requirements Possess current M.
D.
licensure in the State of California.
Residency/Board Certification in Psychiatry and Board eligible or Board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Residency or fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry or extensive experience with children is required.
Prior experience in community mental health (preferred) Support the values and mission of Didi Hirsch as related to employment.
Know and comply with Agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, DMH policies and documentation guidelines, and other state, federal regulations relating to quality assurance and improvement.
Demonstrate medical/clinical leadership skills, a complete working knowledge of psychopharmacology and experience in mental health service delivery to a broad-based individual and multi-cultural patient population.
Present ideas, information, and viewpoints clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Efficiently use the personal computer to include: word processing, patient record-keeping and other related software programs.
Utilize analysis, experience, and judgment to make decisions.
Demonstrate commitment to team objectives and Didi Hirsch philosophies.
Adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
Bi-lingual skills preferred – Spanish/English Current California driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
