Responsible for answering phones and managing medical records for both hospice and home health agencies.
He/she serves as a customer service liaison by answering phones, directing calls, assist visitors and other general administrative support functions needed.
Position reports to the business office manager and follows procedures established for record keeping according to the company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Answers and assist all phone calls and direct them accordingly.
2.
Ensure records are maintained according to federal, state, intermediary and agency standards.
3.
Maintains confidentiality or patient records, families as well as personnel information.
4.
Organizes and helps review, audit patient records, filed accordingly and stored accordingly.
5.
Assist business office with billing paperwork request.
6.
Process and faxes or paper works necessary during admissions, discharged and or transfers of services.
7.
Greets and assist visitors, guest, families etc.
