Job description Job description DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASKS/PURPOSE: ALL CLASS DRIVERS WITH 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE The Delivery Driver operates a 28-ft.
+ BNC bobtail.
The vehicles operated are based on license B classification.
The vehicles are rotated according to route, size of load, boxes, and drivers.
The Truck Driver is responsible for following an established delivery route within an area of 10 to 250 mil est.
in radius.
Primarily, the Truck Driver delivers a variety of merchandise, or picks up merchandise when vehicle is empty in order to return it to the warehouse.
The deliveries and pickups take place at a variety of retail stores, warehouses, restaurants, etc.
All driving activities are performed in order to maintain a timely pickup or delivery schedule.
Requirements: Experience with Local Deliveries/inside deliveries Experience driving Straight truck 26ft Manual transmission preferred Able to use lift gate, operate pallet jacks.
Use hand truck & dollies.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, touch freight, break down pallets and unload vehicle with use of lift gate.

Reviews daily route 2.
Performs pre-trip inspection and checks load for appropriateness.

Drives to various locations within a 10 to 250 mile radius.

Reviews customer’s needs 5.
Unloads, orders, and/or rotates merchandise, retrieving same, as necessary.
6.
Returns to truck yard 7.
Unloads any applicable merchandise 8.
Performs post-trip inspection 9.
Completes necessary handwritten documentation.
