Overview: Coordinate directly with clients and various project stakeholders to identify project needs, develop project scoping documents, and support project execution.
Responsibilities: Support with coordinating with clients and various project stakeholders to identify project needs, develop project scoping documents, and support project execution.
Support with engineering designs for modernizing existing distribution regulation systems with gas control and real-time remote monitoring equipment in various geographical areas throughout Southern California.
Process Design & Detailed Engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, process optimization, sizing & selection of equipment.
Review of Client and/or Vendor documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of FEED design & calculations.
Preparation and review of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, heat and material balances, P&I Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, Prepare and review data sheets for stationary and rotating equipment including separators, filters, heat transfer equipment, pumps and compressors.
Prepare and review instrument data sheets and specifications (control valves, PSV's, meters, etc.
) Participate in startup, performance testing and troubleshooting.
Participate in interactive planning sessions to establish, cost control and scheduling for assigned projects.
Prepare and maintain project budget and schedules including cost and schedule tracking reports.
Perform Quality Assurance/ Quality Control on all deliverables Maintain effective communication and relationships with project team members and clients, with a commitment to building enduring relationships leading to customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Preparation & Issue of RFQ's, evaluation of vendor's quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc.
Review of vendor's documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.
Coordinate with survey, land and other project stakeholders as necessary for detailed engineering design.
Prepare proposals, scoping documents, cost/schedule estimates for all new projects.
Prepare and negotiate change orders with client as needed.
Provide technical expertise and consultations to other project teams for the evaluation of, and resolution to, engineering problems and designs involving various engineering disciplines.
Provide direction to contractors, consultants, Company engineers, technical specialists and all other project team members as needed.
Manage and coordinate all activities leading to the completion of all tasks/activities and overall project success.
Train, develop and mentor engineering team including developing training materials.
Qualifications: B.
S.
Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
California Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
1+ years experience in gas utilities and/or gas processing design engineering.
Experience with field start-up and troubleshooting a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
Familiarity and knowledge of API, ASME and ANSI standards is required.
Experience developing data sheets for stationary and rotating equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, separators, filters, heat transfer equipment, pumps and compressors is preferred.
Local candidates to Los Angeles region.
Ability to travel as dictated by project requirements including site visits and in person meetings.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

Wage Data Per State Requirements: Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000.
The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
