_Drug and Alcohol Detoxification Nurse (LVN,RN) _
Alta Centers is a behavioral organization expanding with detox services in the Hollywood Hills, Alta is looking for a full-time and/or part time LVN, or RN to work with our staff at our detox facility, Alta Centers.
We are a specialized detoxification facility.
We are looking for one full time and one on-call position/part time
*Major Task, Duties and Responsibilities*
* Nursing admission and observation of patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary action, such as directing to emergency care.
* Complete accurate and concise nursing documentation and ensure records are maintained in accordance with standards of facility and state regulations.
* Facilitate patients to self-administer prescribed medication regimens and document appropriately.
* Educate patients regarding prescriptions side effects and medication management.
* Liaise with physician’s office and pharmacy to ensure medical/nursing/medication concerns are reported and problems resolved.
* Evaluate medical progress and recommend medical clearance in relation to treatment planning/discharge.
* Provide supervision of assigned Technician on shift, including implementing any directed corrective action by Program Director.
* Measure and record patients’ vital signs.
* Perform inventory check and maintenance of nursing supplies and over the counter medication supplies, responsible for requesting inventory and requisition supplies/instruments
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, ADA and Joint Commission policies and procedures boundaries and patient and company confidentiality
* Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics and medication management policy.
* Attends in-service training, educational workshops, and staff meetings.
*Prerequisite Qualifications* Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act:
* Current California California RN, LVN license.
* Minimum three year experience required.
* Experience in a substance abuse detox or residential healthcare facility highly favored.
* Knowledge of detox medications, and different types of substance abuse withdrawal symptoms.
* Computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties

Pay: $23.
00 - $27.
00 per hour
