We have an immediate opening for a Medical Collection Specialist.
The primary responsibility of this person is to review the patient's financial charts and follow up with the appropriate health plan to settle the unpaid/underpaid claims.

*Key Competencies*
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in analyzing Explanation of Benefit reports.
* Working knowledge of DOFRs
* Strong ability to compose collection and appeal letters
* Must be able to collaborate, set priorities, and organize work to meet deadlines, ensuring compliance with established processes, policies, and regulations
* Strong computer skills
*Minimum Qualifications*
* Minimum 5 years of Medical Billing/Collection experience with some supervisorial duties.
* Experience in Medical billing in various settings such as hospitals, multispecialty clinics, pharmaceuticals, and ancillary providers.
* Familiarity with ICD-10 and HCPCS coding.
* Strong Math Skills.
* Experience in collection from both PPO and HMO insurance systems.
*Physical Demands:*
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs.

*Work Schedule:*
* Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day/40 hours per week.
