Responsibilities:
Promotes healing of acutely ill patients whose cardiac or pulmonary systems have been compromised through illness or injury through the provision of diagnostic testing, providing for the psycho-social needs of the patient, and patient education.
Encourages and enhances the progression and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department.
Treats patients form pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle, and older adults.
When requested, assists day-to-day operation of the pulmonary lab, referring out of the ordinary issues to the Supervisor, Manager and /or Medical Director, as appropriate.
Provides diagnostic testing to the patient to help optimize the total care given.
Performs arterial punctures for blood gas analysis.
Ability to perform walk studies, pulmonary screens, and pulmonary functions testing.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1.
Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner License in CA.
2.
Current BCLS certification.
3.
PALS certification recommended.
4.
Current NRP certification for NICU RCP
5.
English fluency (written and verbally).
6.
Experience: Knowledge of the general/specific tasks necessary to the practice of Respiratory Care; requires demonstrated competency in the ability and knowledge to perform arterial punctures, walk studies, pulmonary screens and pulmonary functions testing.

The current compensation range for this role is $31.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
