00 per year Pay Frequency: 24 Pay Periods Per Year Full Time Exempt Driving Required PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Facilities Management & Operations team as the Environmental Health & Safety Manager at the RHC office.
ABOUT PATH Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness.
PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.
ABOUT THE JOB As part of the Facilities Management & Operations team, the Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for management and coordination of all Health & Safety service principles, practices and methods pertaining to local, state, federal and regulatory bodies.
To help PATH minimize the risk of job-related accidents and continue expansion for our safety program(s), the oversight provided will be inclusive of agency-wide Facilities & Operations, Program(s) Services, and all other support service departments where applicable.
Position Responsibilities: Leads the Safety Committee to develop, maintain, and improve the processes that ensure compliance with safety related standards of CARF, and other regulatory agencies as assigned.
Incl.
but not limited to Life Safety & Emergency Management.
In tandem with Associate Director of Facilities & Operations this position will Interview, hire, train, and supervise leveraged staff such as Safety Delegates and determine appropriate methods and procedures for maintaining a safe work environment.
Develops and manages a rotating emergency drilling and debrief schedule to ensure coverage of all Health & Safety related emergencies within and after business hours.
Conduct and lead regular safety meetings updating employees on safety policies and any changes to workplace safety practices.
In collaboration with various departments and the Safety Committee, leads efforts to develop, and improve, various safety-related policies and plans (e.
g.
, Emergency Management Plan (EMP), Environment of Care Plan, Disease Prevention Plan/ICP, Illness, and Injury Protection Plan (IIPP)).
In partnership with HR, manages investigations for all incidents pertaining to PATH's physical plants & fleet to discover cause and mitigate workers compensation claims Manages all health & safety tracers to ensure completion of deficiencies/inclusion in Capex  Manages process, maintain, archive, and make recommendations to improve EHS records, and systems.
Identifies EHS training needs and programs for PATH and where necessary trains on presentations for EHS matters and accident prevention.
Monitors, reviews, and updates appropriate staff (as needed) on all safety-related regulations and requirements, including relevant sections of the National Fire Protection Association (NPFA) manuals, to ensure safety issues and violations are identified, resolved, and prevented from recurring in a timely fashion.
In coordination with Associate Director of Facilities and Operations, monitors, plans, assigns, reviews and analyzes all maintenance ticket data pertaining to "Safety Issues" via CMMS to reduce risks WHAT YOU BRING We're looking for candidates with: Analytical Skills and Attention to Detail: Gather and interpret data, identifying trends, patterns, and insights to inform decision-making.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Four (4) years of experience in Life Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety or related field, or combination of experience and education equivalent, with 2 of said years in a supervisory capacity.
One (1) year of experience in facilities at a medical, hospital, or mental health organization.
Certified in Life Safety, Fire Safety, Environmental Safety or Licensed as a General Contractor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for this position, we require all candidates: Three (3) years of experience in Safety, Construction, Facilities Management; Security, Maintenance, Janitorial, and related fields.
One (1) year of experience dealing compliance and working with regulatory bodies incl but not limited to CalOsha HUD, CARF, VA etc.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Regardless of qualifications, candidates must: Have employment eligibility verification Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: Tuberculosis Test Background Screening Drug Test DRIVING Driving is an essential function of this position.
