Job Summary: The candidate shall lead a diverse cross-functional team in El Segundo, CA responsible for the Program engineering activities to include Program Engineering leadership and Systems/Software Engineering.
The candidate interfaces directly to Program Management, Customer, Operations, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain and engineering IPT leads.
The lead is responsible for technical, cost, quality, and schedule performance of the projects being supported by the team.
The position also requires a strong technical understanding of F-18/F-15 or related radar hardware and software operation to effectively manage engineering development efforts of the programs.
Responsibilities to Anticipate: Ensuring the technical integrity of the B-52 Bomber Modernization Radar System (BMRS) program and that we meet all government requirements.
Provide technical interface with customers and vendors.
Provide technical leadership of our System and Software Development activities.
Promote Digital Transformation, where applicable, to continuously improve our efficiency.
Responsible for the Cost and Schedule performance (EV) of the programs.
Directing and coordinating technical activities with Boeing and USAF.
Developing and presenting technical presentations.
Meeting contractual performance based metrics.
Engineering manpower planning to support the program, schedule baseline establishment, and the review of contract deliverables to including Contract/Subcontract Data Requirements Listings.
It also includes Earned Value Management System (EVMS) startup activities and the validation of the budgets and associated Task Work Statement within the contract scope and specification requirements.
Collection and preparation of engineering performance data on the program and reporting this performance to the engineering and program management.
Basic Qualifications: Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and twelve (12) years of engineering experience.
Experience including at least two of the following: digital and modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, Monte Carlo, or signal processing.
Experience with Matlab, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented design Must have an Active U.
S.
government issued Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain special access clearance (SAP).
U.
S.
citizenship is required, as only U.
S.
citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: Extensive technical working knowledge of F-18/F-15 radar systems.
Excellent customer interface skills and presentation skills Ability to conduct analysis, investigations, and consider other technical tasks necessary to evaluate evolving design efforts.
EVMS Certified Able to travel as needed.
