Job Summary:
Lends energy, time and talents to ensure smooth operations of volunteer run information center offices.
Provides effective office management and volunteer supervision.
Volunteers monthly as an associate at the information center.
Focuses on providing resources, referrals and information to people both in person and over the phone.
Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate’s/Technical Degree in healthcare or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Five years' relevant experience: Preferred
Supervisory experience: Preferred
Essential Functions:
Serves as a role model for information center associates.
Serves as liaison between information center leads and associates.
Proactively seeks information and shares it in a timely manner.
Collaborates with personnel to establish information center policies and procedures for associated programming.
Ensures training materials and resource guides are well-maintained and up-to-date.
Ensures volunteers understand role expectations.
Oversees volunteer management functions, like recruitment, screening, scheduling, training, day-to-day support, performance management and recognition.
Maintains communication between the information center and programs that frequently overlap with conference room use.
Ensures new volunteers receive adequate trainings and quality onboarding experiences.
Develops future leadership potential and works with succession planning in mind.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
