Medical Collector

```Duties:``` - Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing - Utilize ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG systems to assign appropriate codes - Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes - Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations ```Qualifications:``` - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding or medical billing - Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures - Strong knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
