We are looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Technician to fill our Veterinary Technician Training Specialist position.

*Requirements:*
* RVT license (REQUIRED)
* VTS ECC or current candidate for this credential (Preferred)
* Knowledge of veterinary medicine, relevant skills, and terminology
* Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with both staff and clients
* Strong verbal and written skills
* Strong attention to detail and follow through
* Ability to handle high stress situations
The Veterinary Technician Training Specialist for True Care for Pets has the main responsibility of recruitment, training, and retention of employees.
You will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build loyalty, enhancing employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* On-boarding of new employees including skills assesment and development of an individual training plan.
* All new hires will spend time both on and off the floor with the Veterinary Technician Training Specialist prior to the first scheduled shifts.
* Developing training plans for existing employees
* Write outlines, texts, handouts, tests, and practical exercises as needed for all technical training.
Please note we have an existing training program that can be enhanced as needed.
* Scheduling and organizing all technical training meetings, classes, and practical coursework
* Offering support to staff and assisting them in reaching their goals
* Make recommendations to management regarding performance of employees
* Development of protocols and SOPs
* Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness and success.
Report findings at set intervals.
* Time will be spent on the floor providing hands on training to current and new staff.
* The Veterinary Technician Training Specialist will be scheduled to work shifts on the floor along side staff and have specific hours set aside for administrative tasks.
* Schedule flexibility will be required to spend time with different employees and different shifts.
*Veterinary experience required and RVT license required.
