Reporting to the Gilead Vice President Global Talent Acquisition, the Senior Director Kite Global Talent Acquisition will lead Kite’s Talent Acquisition organization providing strategic direction and operational efficiencies to ensure a best-in-class TA strategic, operating and delivery model.
This role serves as a key strategic partner to senior business leaders and HR business partners to develop business/operational plans that ensure delivering on the business talent acquisition objectives while ensuring continuity and consistency of the TA strategy, employer brand, and recruiting best practices.
This is a site based role in Santa Monica, CA.
The role is a member of the Gilead Talent Acquisition leadership team, and the Kite HR leadership team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead US, Netherlands, and matrixed global Talent Acquisition teams partnering with Business Leaders and HRBPs to source and attract top talent with a strong emphasis on diverse talent Provide leadership and oversight of full cycle recruitment including recruiting, sourcing, operations, Diversity & Inclusion, and Early Talent university Relations (ETUR) Collaborate within a matrixed environment in leading Kite’s expanding global TA footprint Partner and collaborate with Kite and Gilead partners, systems, and processes to ensure Kite’s strategic direction is executed while ensuring methodology and best practices are embedded to ensure short- and long-term hiring goals are achieved Provide leadership to TA direct reports and RPO partner and other external partners and build a highly capable team through the attraction, training, and development of the necessary skilled professionals to meet business needs Own Kite’s employer brand, and provide strategic perspective on our brand in partnership with Public Affairs and other stakeholders Partner with other HR COEs and Business Partners at Kite and Gilead to programs and services to the business and also to address key capability gaps and needs Serve as the relationship owner with the US RPO partner and a key stakeholder for ex-US RPO partners and Contingent Worker Programs Create and drive diverse talent pipeline programs for FTE and early talent roles across all functions Responsible for identifying external trends and implementing novel solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness of TA strategies Provide strategic direction for executive recruitment efforts with internal and external partners Comfortable managing high-volume recruiting efforts and navigating fluctuations in scale Comfortable generating insights for HR and business leaders from recruitment data and hiring trends to inform talent strategies and continuous improvement Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and 14+ years of talent acquisition experience OR High School Diploma and 18+ years of talent acquisition experience OR Ph.

and 10+ years of talent acquisition experience OR Master’s Degree and 12+ years of talent acquisition experience Must be able to work on-site at our Santa Monica, CA campus.

Preferred Qualifications BS or BA degree, preferably with an emphasis in HR or Business.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience leading teams in remote/hybrid and/or geographic disparate locations in a highly matrixed organization 5+ years of TA leadership experience Experience leading and managing talent acquisition functions outside of the US to include cultural awareness and sensitivity demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence In-depth knowledge of Talent Acquisition nuances and best practices in life sciences, healthcare, or biotech is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity recruitment, including results delivery Demonstrate strong business acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into Talent Acquisition priorities Model strong leadership, accountable for coaching, developing, progressing, and retaining employees and managed services teams while ensuring an inclusive team environment A business partner with the experience and confidence necessary to work with senior executives, HR leaders, and employees at all levels to deliver results Ability to exercise judgment and independently determine and take appropriate action where precedent may not exist Inspire culture and institute key processes necessary to achieve long and short-term strategic goals Role model for Kite and Gilead core values and Leadership Commitments in all actions Comfortable working within a blended TA model with heavy reliance on an RPO partner The salary range for this position is: $195,245.

Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
