As the Senior Manager, Sustainable Aviation Fuel, you will lead the implementation and management of the Qantas Group’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) investment and offtake initiatives in the United States.
This will include managing the implementation of the Qantas Group’s US investments in the Airbus SAFFA Fund and strategic offtakes, engaging with US producers to ensure that required timelines and milestones are being met, continuing to seek opportunities for cost effective, strategic offtakes and developing and maintaining processes for tracking and reporting of US offtakes contributions.
Reporting into the Head of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, you will work closely with the Executive General Manager Climate as well as the wider Sustainability team to ensure that we continuing to track towards the Qantas Groups de-carbonisation commitments.
You’ll have: Experience working in Energy, Renewables, or a legal, accounting or environmental consultancy preferably within a sustainability field Demonstrated experience in biofuels is beneficial, particularly within the US market Demonstrated capability to manage stakeholders and influence outcomes across a large and complex organisation Strong commercial acumen and ability to work remotely / independently Sustainability, biofuels and climate policy technical skills and working knowledge of government and industry sustainability, biofuels policies and legislation is beneficial Strong communication skills with experience in managing the development and implementation of strategy, policy, systems and procedures Proven project management, transactional execution skills and experience at a senior manager level Demonstrated experience participating in a cross functional team Strong analytical and reporting skills and the ability to develop effective tracking and monitoring systems Proven influencing and relationship management skills across multiple internal stakeholder groups Ability to support the development and delivery of business cases / financial analysis to senior management Motivation to be a self-starter with initiative; the ability to work independently and a good team player Why Qantas?
