The Director, Research Operations will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of our market research delivery organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
This role requires a combination of operational expertise, team management, and a keen understanding of the market research industry.
How You'll Make An Impact:
Business and Operational Leadership
Collaborate with senior management to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the research delivery department to deliver up to 4,000 market research hours per month on timeline and budget.
Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing research team composed of in-house talent (10+ reports) and multiple vendors.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Implement and execute a training plan to improve our analytics and research approaches
Research Quality Assurance
Establish and maintain quality standards for all research processes and deliverables.
Implement measures to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency in research outputs.
Resource Allocation
Optimize resource allocation to meet project timelines and client expectations.
Work closely with project managers to allocate resources effectively and prioritize tasks.
Process Optimization
Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.
Streamline workflows and procedures to optimize resource utilization.
Vendor Management
Negotiate staffing, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Budget Management
Collaborate with finance to develop and manage the operations budget and ensure gross margin target is met.
Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Technology Integration
Deploy and maximize the use of the Research Engine platform by the operation team to increase productivity through automation.
Advise and recommend platform improvements to Product department.
Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and stay abreast of industry trends.
You'll Be Successful If You Have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior operational leadership role, at a market research agency, managing a minimum $10M book of business.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
