KI Accommodation Manager
Job Description
The Accommodation Manager manages the KI housing program within the school, including the availability of a quantity and variety of residential and homestay options; managing occupancy rates to maximize profit for KI while providing sufficient inventory for our sales/ CS teams to sell; and the efficient and effective resolution of student housing issues.
Key Job Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the housing program for the school
Conduct homestay interviews/ site visits, meet with prospective and current housing and airport transfer vendors, and manage housing budget
Develop and execute effective plans for homestay recruitment and retention; actively seek to improve and expand the current supply of hosts and other housing options
Forecast seasonal housing needs and work with existing and new suppliers to ensure these demands are met
Act as point of contact for residence providers; work together to solve student service issues and meet capacity demands
Communicate student feedback to hosts and vendors; adjust as needed
Manage payment processing for housing
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of database information
Synchronize communication among school staff, housing providers, students, agents, and sales advisors to ensure excellent service to students
Coordinate the arrival and departure of international students; help them understand rules and policies; and aid in their adjustment to life in their local community American life
Ensure appropriate turn-around time on all housing inquiries
Monitor competitor activities as they pertain to housing (facilities, pricing, service, etc)
Maintain accurate records
Work with housing teams across the global KI organization to share best practices
Complete other job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent*
2+ years in a business or operational setting
Ability to travel locally and work evenings and weekends, as needed
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience managing staff
Prior experience with international students
One or more foreign language ability

All positions with Kaplan are paid at least $15 per hour or $31,200 per year for full-time positions.
Compensation for specific positions are based on job level, skills, years of experience, and education, among other factors.
Additionally, certain positions are bonus or commission eligible.
