Found grey & white dead cat (West Los Angeles)

Saturday 11/24/23 10 am: Found a poor little grey and white dead cat on Sepulveda Blvd.
, one block north of Olympic Blvd.
Cat did not have a collar.
Exact location was about 20 feet just north of Mississippi Ave.
on the east side of Sepulveda, near the border of the right hand lane and the first parking meter.
It looked like it had been hit by a car.
I called the West LA Animal Shelter and they told me they don't pick up dead cats.
They told me to call the LA Sanitation Dept.
to have the cat picked up.
I did not want to leave the poor cat in the street to possibly get run over again, so I put it in a plastic bag and put it in a garbage container sitting at the business next to the street.
The kitty was mostly grey with white paws, and a white blaze on its chest.
Sorry to have to report this; it was really sad and heartbreaking.
But if you are missing your kitty, it might have been yours .
